What exactly is a Fulica Hamilei Rodatzi? I have Fulica normal and Rodatzi, and it looks nothing like either of them... Is Fulica Hamilei Rodatzi a cross between the 2, or another type of Fulica altogether? Any info on them would be very much appreciated as I absolutely LOVE Fulica's and want to own all the different types! Haha! ;D Thanks, Caz

Hi, I think you asked questions a bit in a wrong way. Let's say that Achatina fulica is a species of snails. Later we have several subspecies of Achatina fulica. F.e. Fulica Hamilei Rodatzi as you wrote in your post. If you want to know all subspecies of Fulicas pls find a list which I could find below: * Achatina fulica fulica * Achatina fulica hamilei * Achatina fulica hamilei var. rodatzi * Achatina fulica hamilei var. rodatzi albino body * Achatina fulica var. 'White Jades' * Achatina fulica castanea * Achatina fulica coloba * Achatina fulica sinistrosa * Achatina fulica umbilicata * Achatina fulica rufensis I hope it helps P.S. Some photos of these species you can find here ahatin.ru/ru/forum/76--/8723-achatina-fulica--

I want to know what the difference is between normal Fulica and fulica Hamilei is exactly? and what makes Achatina Fulica Hamilei var. Rodatzi and Achatina Fulica Hamilei var. Rodatzi albino body different from normal Rodatzi and Jadatzi Fulica's? What does the Fulica snail need to look like in order to make it a Hamilei? Why can you have normal, Rodatzi and Jadatzi snails and also a Hamilei variant of them? Sorry if I'm not getting my question across right!

This is very interesting as I have normal, Rodatzi, White Jade and full albino myself. So my collection of fulica is nowhere near complete. Never seen the others for sale though. Their shells are lovely!

Of course I agree there are the big differences between fulicas from the different areas (the biggest are on Madagascar) but the names are used as subspecies very very less.
