yeah, this one is listed as Archachatina puylaepti on that russian site www.achatina.ru/Photo/Page.Eng/A.puylaepti_albino.htmThe one below is listed as Archachatina buylaerti, on the Conchological Studies messageboard, I think it looks similar to the puylepti on the Russian site.

he charges a small fortune for postage mind, doesnt take paypal or cards over the phone, he wanted cash by post for 2 tigers that looked more like brixton cast offs, was about £8 postage I think, so approx £45, cash, in post, no proof of sending ha dont know if he takes cheques, probably

I was looking at buying the Puylaepti from Tom, but after his mistakes with my last (v expensive) order i'm really not sure that it is worth it. He has only been told that they are puylaepti by a previous client and is happy to go with that rather than get a proper id. In addition to the £20 per snail he also charges 10-15 postage...and my batch last time didn't come close to being that heavy. I'm really tempted by them, but it is a lot of money. I have more pictures that he sent me groups.msn.com/PhiesPhotos/shoebox.msnwReally do think they are pale margies... Christabel has Puylaepti - have emailed her but she hasn't got any photos at the moment of it. I want! But i have enough Margies at the moment...

It is a pale marginata ovum. It has a apricot columella and it has the shell markings that are distinctive for margies. There is no way it is a Puylaepti. It's daft, he is selling them as rare but they are becoming more and more common in the wild due to the fact that for some reason, native Africans prefer to eat the dark-bodied ones.
