Are those just hatched? The shells are beautiful already.

Newly hatched, I will give them a week or so and then get another picture, Archachatina grow fast in the first week (or has been my experience with other). I am hoping for confirmation of species as these develop - the adults are wc and are quite worn.

Hello. I am fairly new to this forum. Could you guys explain, what does it mean 'adults are wc'? Thanks

Thanks for more great photos ! Wonderful detail. Your hatchlings have grown a lot in last 2 weeks, seems at least another complete whorl ? If they are the same ones you posted on 7th. Oct. seems the embrionic whorls are darker ( more red ) - or is this just the light ? If same would it be correct to say the unpatterned ones are var. candefacta, and the ones with some tiger stripes are var. eduardi ? What is shell sizer at the moment - around 15mm ? Good luck and post pics again in 2 weeks if you can !

Hi Brunni,
I am cautious at the identification - these are all from the same clutch - supposedly candefacta.
Apex of this clutch is pinkish in hue, they are still too small to get a feel for shell lip inner colour or columella - I'll give them another two weeks. I have a second clutch hatching at the moment, so I am eager to see how they differ (if at all) as they were laid by 2 different adults.
