Evelyn, gabi, felix what temp. did you hatch your eggs at? I don't know if mine are too warm or too cold, it is so hit and miss Val, I think the eggs that hatched were just pure luck as they are my first attempt. There're 9 eggs in total, only 3 out of that batch hatched. I first put them (in one of those hot tea cups?) in the tank where the margies are, but the margies just kept on push them over. So I borrowed my friend's incubator (in fact I put a thread up and asked members on here, but I don't think I got any reply ) and I just put the eggs in there (that was about 1 week after the eggs were laid). The margies tank is 26-28C day and night, the incubator is 30.5C day and night. The eggs are on moss, soaking wet and I sprayed them about 3 - 5 times a day. The eggs hatched after 10 days I moved them to the incubator. The incubator is located in my bathroom, not too sure if that helped or not, but my bathroom (the guest one) is extremely humid in there. 2 weeks ago, the eggs hatched. The babies are still pretty small, of course not 4cm yet, but they are eating, so I hope they live. They are living in a propagator atm. (I will try to take pics this weekend, can't promise as my work is pretty hectic (one of the busiest seasons) and I need to work both Sat & Sun.)

I can't access this Paul, were these albinos that they bred? No, but I think the fact that albinos are doing so well in places like Ghana shows that there is little or no difference in terms of how they develop.

Well, half of my eggs were over 7 weeks old so I decided to 'candle' them, reckoned that I should be able to see something after 7 weeks!!!!!! Carefully took them from the container and shone a bright light through them and guess what....................................NOTHING!!!!!!!! I could see right through the eggs, no shadows or anything so I cracked one open and as expected just goo. They were all the same. Now I have about 12 left which have not long been laid, but I honestly don't think that my snails are doing it properly either that or they are just not fertile. Felix, what type of incubator are you using? Val

Oh ((((Val)))), sorry to hear that, well may be next time, better luck. Just don't give up. . Felix, what type of incubator are you using? Sorry I only just saw your post, the incubator I am using belongs to my friend. It is acutally for hatching big chicken / duck eggs. Inside it has the rotating facilities. The model is Octagon 40 DX. PS I am still trying to take the pics, but without luck as they just came out so blurred. I could not even see them properly. May be I should invest a better d. camera.
