He looks fine, you made it sound far worse than that! If he was crushed you've done a great job patching him up If he's sleeping out of his shell he's likely just comfortable and chilled out. I have this geriatric trio of margies that sleep on their backs, with their whole bodies flopped out of the shell, no idea what makes them think this is sensible behaviour but they seem happy enough One has had growth problems and I think is really not able to retract into her shell - she manages fine. Make sure squidgys tank stays humid, I'm sure you already are else he wouldn't be so happy to sleep out of his shell, and I agree with zorst he probably would be in a bad way by now if he couldn't digest/excrete - monitoring him in an isolation tank as cliath suggests might give you peace of mind though!
