Thankyou! I love them! Does anyone know the species of the wildies?

I'm not good at ID'ing snails but here goes my practise attempt: Penny could be Cepaea hortensis/nemoralis. Squish is Helix aspersa maybe? Titch looks like a small Cepaea as well. Cindy, I'm not sure, either a stripeless Cepaea or something completely different.

Lovely to see bobby and maisy doing well Squish: Helix aspera Un-named: Cepaea hortensis Penny: Cepaea sp. (too young to tell but probably Cepaea hortensis) Squirt: Helix aspera Titch: Cepaea sp. (either nemoralis or hortensis) Cindy: Cepaea sp. (probably hortensis but cannot really tell at this point) In short the lip formed when they have reached maximum size in Cepaea is the main way to tell the two species found here apart: white = Cepaea hortensis and Brown = Cepaea nemoralis occasionally you can get a member of one species with the other coloured lip just to confuse the situation...

At the moment I have Squish in on her own and the rest all together, could they all live together? Or should I just put Squirt in with Squish? Would he miss the others if I move him?

Slinky, I don't think there's any reason why they couldn't all live together. If you're sure that none of them have parasites or illnesses that the others could catch, that is. Snails are sometimes seen behaving like they do miss other snails, especially deceased partners.

Note: I've moved the alternate lip colouration posts to here: petsnails.proboards.com/thread/14466/ so, as etana pointed out, we're not hijacking the thread but anyone can talk about it/add further info there
