It's for dealing with parasitic mites, and also a fun thing to do with your snails. It has to be very dilute though (v. light yellow) and not hot to your hand. I've prepared the tea normally and then added lots of water.
As for the bathing itself, I put a shallow layer of the dilute tea on a plate and then place the snail in it, and usually I trust that he'll snail away from the tea by himself when he's done (unless the snail is very, very tired).

I but the snails in a box and bathe them for as long as they stay there, most will stay for a few mins and then slime up the wall of the box. Also I fill my spray bottle with green tea to spray them, while they're in their bath.

I haven't given mine many green tea baths but I try and do it to any new snails. I got four little rodatzi today and here they are having a bath. I can't say they hated it but they didn't love it either, lol. And here they are after their bath, ready to go into their new tank.

I just bought some green tea today as I've got new snails arriving in the mail tomorrow and I don't want to introduce any bugs.
Does anyone know exactly why these green tea baths help get rid of mites?

I don't know why it's suggested to bathe them in green tea. I read about it on this forum a while ago and thought I might as well give it a go. Luckily *touch wood* I have never had mites on any snails old or new. But it's a precaution I guess. I also put new snails into a small tank of their own for a while before I put them in with anyone else. I am sure someone more knowledgeable will post a reply!

@ HelixPomatia and bronwen Yeah I've been seeing these green tea baths mentioned a lot lately and have been wondering myself as to how they actually rid mites? One thing I do know is that the dilution part is quite important........

Slinky: from the photo i can see theres also some blacked eyed whites too (they have a black rather than pink eyespot) they're not true albino, as they have the black eyes and don't tend to yellow as much with age, but for all intents and purposes they are the same as albino. it's just not genetically accurate . You have true albinos too, at this age it just looks like they don't have an eyespot
