Well tonight I went to check the egg box and got a great surprise I had 3 pairs of eyes looking up at me, and on closer inspection another 2 baby bulldozers are also hatching with the first parts of their shells breaking off. So that's 5 baby bulldozers. Now the adults are a pinkish brown with darker gray stripes n eye stalks but I know one of their parents was Albino. So far of the 3 that have hatched completely their are 2 albino / white and one brown. Cant wait to see the rest when they hatch. And these 3 have already started living up to their parents reputations of digging lol so they really are bulldozers. So a great way to welcome in the New Year Happy Slimey New Year everyone. Zorst

Well we've 5 hatched now so far, there are 4 Albino / white and one dark one and yeah these certainly are mini bulldozers already. I've put them into a bigger box with more soil and there haveing a great time digging tunnels under there food and around the other eggs. There in the young snail tank in there box so that they are nice and warm and I can keep an eye on them.
Hopefully I'll be getting a new camera in the new year sales so I can then post some photo's of these cute little guys.

Thanks Cliath, there busy little bulldozers for sure and very active. Were still waiting on the remaining eggs to hatch but they were laid just over a week apart so there's going to be a few days wait I suspect.

Well the baby bulldozers have been up to a few things one that wasn't quite so good. The not quite so good one was despite a good food and calcium source they ate one of the other eggs that are waiting to hatch and the poor snail that was in it. All I had left since checking them last nite was the snails shell. RIP poor little snail. So the eggs are now in another separate box and the baby Bulldozers in there own box both of which are in the bigger nursery tank.
The interesting thing I did however find out tonight was when I had all the baby bulldozers out sitting on my hand and they were happily slimeing about that there are 2 albino and t2 cream with grey eye stalks n feeler stalks. So it'll be interesting to see if those remain grey or not. The other one is a very light pinky grey all over its body. So an interesting color range for sure.
Apart from this they are all doing well and growing very fast they now have a couple of soggy cat biscets in there box with them for the protein. They love to burrow under there food and cuttle fish and turn everything over, really like a mini version of the big bulldozers lol. So there all doing great and hopefully in a week or 2 the remaining now 8 eggs will also hatch and I get some more baby bulldozers. Be interesting to see what colors those one's turn out to be.

sadly i think eating others is just one of those things. it is possible that other one wasn't going to hatch anway or something was wrong with it. The colours are interesting i look forward to updates! what colour parents are they?

One parent is a greyish, brownish, reddish color and the other unrelated parent is a darker grey Sutralis who's parents were dark.
The lighter greyish / brownish / reddish snail's parents were a silver skinned Sutralis and an albino Ovum but those offspring all came out this greyish, brownish, reddish color. So the albino is a throw back of one generation to the Ovum. I've no idea how common that cross is but I have to say they are a stunning n very big snail. I didn't breed either of these parents of the baby Bulldozers they were both bought in from different breeders in the UK.
Even the darker grey baby snail that hatched is very light grey / silver compared to normal darker parent, so it'll be interesting to see what others hatch out.
Thanks for the info re the egg that got eaten n I did kinda think it may have been something like that.
The baby bulldozers are still dozering about the place which is good.

I will be when I get my new camera, but have no worries the Big bulldozers have been busy again and we have 8 more eggs this morning, seems like they really like there new tank lol. I'm now waiting for the other snails clutch of eggs.
I've told the rug rats after these 2 batches of eggs the next few will be getting frozen as we don't want to be inundated with baby bulldozers.
As to the first clutch that still haven't hatched there doing fine so hopefully we'll get them hatch in the next week or so as they were laid a couple of weeks apart the snail just kept them inside a bit longer than the other one.
