Hi all, I'm new to the forum. I live in Florida, USA. I have studied snails my entire life and have quite a bit of knowledge that I would be glad to share. I do not currently raise snails but have experience with Liguus, Pleurodonts, Euglandinas and a few others. I see that a while ago there were some Cuban Liguus being kept and I would love to hear about the experiences of those who tried. I look forward to communicating with any of you and catching up on recent posts.

Welcome! I also am interested in Liguus and have read that they're apparently very difficult to keep in captivity. I've been thinking that an attempt to keep drymaeus might provide some useful insight, without killing a threatened species. Are you aware if there are currently any restrictions regarding collection of D. multilineatus?
I also acquired some Melampus coffea from a friend and figured I would take a shot at keeping them in a terrarium. It's been a few months and things seem to be going very well so far. I found that they can tolerate freshwater for a couple months, and if I had a saltwater aquarium I might try to raise them from veligers.

Snails are fascinating. Unfortunately some people think of them as pests. ;(
