It's been rainy today, but not thunderstorming, so perfect weather to go outside and find some snails. Pink Shell: Discus sp. unknown Orange shell: Mesomphix sp. Two snails on the left in the second pic: Mesodon sp. I also found a colony of Anguispira alternata and a leopard slug (not pictured). I'm debating on if I should keep them, as I don't think the gene pool of two snails is enough to make a suitable captive breeding population.

I don't care if I'm a man, nor that I'm going to sound weird if I say this, but I LOVE that pink snail! Wow! I wonder if I can find them in my region too? The only pink shelled snails I've found to date are those innumerable cepaea nemoralis.

Thanks everyone, I'm still working on ID'ing the pink one. It's hard with black and white guides lol. None of these discus description say "pink in color".

I'd definitely keep the pink shelled one. Heh, I'm a sucker for irregular patterns

So it has been a month or so... did you decide to keep the pink one?
