So uh, I've always had a "little" problem with ants in my home, but recently they've found their way into one of my snail tanks. I can't find if this stuff has happened to anyone else. Can the ants be dangerous to the snails and if so, how do I get rid of them?

Ants are attracted to sugar so could possibly the snails sweet smelling food that attracted them ? Maybe you could find some ant repellent & place this around your tank area (but not to risk you touching the repellent then your snails ...) to keep them away from your tanks.
I'm not sure if they are harmful to snails, I wouldn't think so considering wild snails never seem to be bothered by ants.

Yeah, I was a dumdum and put some apple in the tank last night and in the morning I noticed a huge colony of ants in there. Put some traps around the tank but there's still a few of those little brats in the tank. I was just a bit worried they'd hurt the snails or something but they don't seem to even notice the huge piles of slime that live in the glass house.

I've been seeing big ants in my home lately, too. Thankfully they have not found their way into my snail's tanks! Yet..............

I've had the same problem recently. About a week ago I noticed ants in the room where I keep my snails and have just noticed tonight my fulica set up is full of them! I too put some apple in the other night so no doubt this encouraged them.
Don't really want loads of ants running about so might do a clear out and leave off the fruit for a bit. I can't really use any repellent as I have a dog who can easily get in the room.
Hmmmm ... Bit annoying
