a few days ago my dad found a Rosy Wolf snail in the parking lot of a hospital. she has a pretty bad crack on her shell and she's not eating or moving much at all. I've never seen one in real life before so I would really like to keep her, but I can't find much about how to care for them. feeding isn't a problem, I miss eggs from my other snails all the time so she has hatchlings to feed on and I don't feel too bad, since I'm used to feeding my ball python (although I don't think I could feed her a full grown snail..) and someone on here (i can't remember who) said they will feed on clam meat too so I'll be giving her that, along with trying other things. but I don't know much else about them. do they like it warm? will I need to get a heat mat? or would room temperature be fine? what else about them is different from snails like the Asian tramp? and should I try to fix her shell, or will she do it on her own? I'll try to post a picture to show how bad it is. I'm just really worried I'm going to miss something she needs and not be able to support her.

I was the one who tested out the raw clam meat feeding last year, and wolfsnails seem to be fine having it as the main food in their diet. They also do fine in regular room temperature and humidity. The shell damage looks pretty bad, I think a "repair" may be necessary but I've never had a broken shell situation like this and don't know much about it. I think some people use plaster or some kind of bandages.

even the wild caught ones that aren't used to it? I'll definitely be trying it though. what did you do for calcium? I noticed Roseland was over the powered egg shell this morning. do they rasp on cuttle bone too?

Well so far all i've had are wild caught ones lol. They may be picky at first but will eat in a few days. I put a cuttlebone in the terrarium, but they don't seem to rasp at it that much, so I put a tiny sprinkle of calcium powder onto the clam meat. I also toss in a snail even now and then since they will eat pieces of the shell.

oh well that's good news. have you tried breeding any? they can be kept together right, like they won't try to pick at each other? and have you noticed anything special they may like, that might make her more active? I'm sorry to ask so many questions, I'm just clueless when it comes to these snails and there's so little people that keep them I'm scared I won't get this opportunity again

If they are fed well they wont bother each other. I kept a pair together for a few months, and they were fine. The smaller one died eventually, so I am left with only one sub-adult and about 20 eggs. I think if you raise the heat and humidity they may be more active, (maybe they just tolerate my room temp, but would thrive in more tropical conditions).
I don't think you need to buy pricy heat mats, etc, though. Maybe just put it in the warmest area of your house.

You can try to put a rinsed off egg shell over the spot. Make sure you dry off the egg shell throughly before.

what do I put to keep it on? and do I take the membrane part off or leave it on?

Since the hole is exposing the snail's flesh I would take off the membrane to prevent infection.
