They won't eat each other, don't worry. Just make sure that nail polish isn't somewhere where the snail can eat it... it really shouldn't be there anyway. DO NOT USE NAIL POLISH REMOVER. THAT STUFF IS DEADLY. ☠️☠️

Is the nail polish bad for the snail? Shoot! I shouldn't have done that then. I won't use nail polish remover. Maybe I could scrap it off. I saw a site where they would race their snails and they said it was ok for nail polish. When I had eenie meenie miney and moe I couldn't tell them apart and mentioned nailpolish on here but never heard back. Thank you for letting me know. I will try to get rid of it. It's easy to tell these two apart with size.

I guess they are the same species as before ... , i.e.; Cepaea hortensis/Cepaea nemoralis? They are just garden snails from my area. They are sooooo cute tho! Millie will only eat Cheerios tho so far, and I have to sorta "hand" feed her. She is so big compared to the other one (Buddy). I'm not sure of their sex tho????I really appreciate this site. It's the only one that seems to have all these great resources. Thanks so much

Cepaea nemoralis, yes.
These 'lick' their shells a lot, I would recommend rinsing off that polish if that's even possible?
Try a sweet potato. The ones that are orange inside.

Mmmmm.... I wouldn't scrape too hard on that nail polish, might chip the shell. You can tell them apart by their size anyway.

I think the polish should wear off naturally. Cute Snails! I have the same species. Have you seen the variation in their shell patterns? Talk about polymorphism!🐌🐌🐌

I hope so!! Thanks. They are cute eh? Buddy seems more playful, maybe cuz he/she is smaller. I adore them! I love the way their little eyes stick out and they look all over the place, so fascinated! lol

Millie and Buddy are doing great! Just a quick update. Also, the nail polish that was on Millie did come off about a month ago when I was bathing her. I got it so it didn't end up in with them. I am moving and have so much to do. Please be patient with me. Miss you all! <3
