Im not sure if this is the correct thread for this. If not please relocate. I have three Helix Aspersa (or at least that's the best guess by a forum member). I want to get a Pacific Sideband. They are fairly common around here and easily collected. As far as I can find both spieces are fairly alike as in diet and habitat. Would they be ok in the same tank? I really would like one but I do not want to bring harm to my current three. I have a quarantine tank I can set up for it before joining the exisiting tank.
Also, if anyone has any experience with Pacific Sidebands in the wild. I would love some hints on hunting them down. Time of day they are most active. Type of environment they prefer (i.e under. Logs, in logs, trees ect.) What circumstances would make it more likely to find one.
Thanks in advance!

Yes they will be fine as tank mates. Monadenia like to have their terrarium a bit more humid though, otherwise they will not be very active. I have a certain set up I do to have 80+% humidity but also airflow (top with no air holes, and a fish tank air pump pumping in air to the soil level via plastic tube).

I never though of using an air pump. A bet that keeps everyone happy and oxygenated! Cashell oh yes I am quite lucky. I moved from the Midwest out here and it is just a stunning place to live. I can stand down town and see the ocean, mountais, snow, and sand. Its pretty incredible. Then of course you have the variety of wildlife. You haven't loved until you have seen a pure white leopard slug!
