I went snailhunting yesterday and found three hibernating snails. I removed the mucus layer and placed them in an enclosure w/ fresh banana rock and water. They have secreted a yellow liquid but haven't come out. Did I kill them?

I've woken upbhibernating snails before, but I haven't dealt with yellow mucus before... maybe give them some time to warm up and hydrate?

The best way to take them out of their hibernation is to put them in a warm damp area and let the doors pop off naturally. You probably didn't kill them, but I think they should get some water splashed inside their shell to wake them up.
