Hello everyone, As you may know, when releasing eggs yesterday, I've accidentally stepped on a snail (fortunately not enough to kill him right away). I've covered it with a dead leaf to make sure it wouldn't get eaten, but I felt like such a monster that I came back to the park and took the snail, that I called Lucky. I usually give my snails food names (because I think they're cute), but there are two exceptions: Rainbow, because my big sister used to own him, and she gave him to me, and Lucky, because you don't see snails surviving to being stepped on everyday! Anyway, I gave him food, cuttlebone and I wanted to spray a lot. I asked for help on Facebook, Instagram and here, but most people told me to euthanize him! I couldn't possibly do such a thing! Killing, whether it's a person or an animal is never a solution! I've tried to give him a second chance, but unfortunately, he died. I could see his little heart beating, but it stopped. The same day, I took him back in the park, dug a hole and put him in it. Then, I've put dirt back and a rock above it to do as a tomb. I feel so bad for killing him, even though it was an accident! I hope that he didn't suffer too much when I took care of him. Goodbye Lucky, the little fighter I've got attached to you already. seastar
