Hey everyone,
Yesterday a friend from school told me that she had found a snail at her house. I was kind of confused because right now its about -20C outside with tons of snow, so I wasn't sure where this snail could have been hiding. It turns out the snail wasn't hiding at all, my friend woke up in the morning to find this random grove snail aestivating right on the back cushion of her sofa. She had no idea where this snail came from, and how it appeared on her couch. Snail Sorcery. She named it Fred and had it in a container with some lettuce. Knowing that I keep lots of snails already, she asked if I'd like to take it. She dropped it off last night, and Fred is one of the biggest grove snails I've seen! It was a really nice single-banded orange coloured shell. I am keeping it in a separate container for now, but may eventually move it into my 15 gallon with my other adult grove snails. So I'm up to 13 adults now! Pretty cool to be the crazy snail girl on campus.
