I am posting here because I can not post to the Identification Forum. I ordered a plant on Amazon, it came from Shanghai, with it came a little snail. I reached out to Reddit on what to do with him because he arrived in the middle of winter. They basically told me I would have to kill him or keep him, since setting him free could lead to an invasive species situation. So for the past 6 months, I have had a pet snail, "Speedy". He has been thriving and growing so fast, but lately he has been acting really odd. He is rarely out and about and has begun sealing himself in his shell with a white crusty layer. I have been trying to figure out what to do to make him more happy, but I feel like I need to start by identifying him to figure out all his needs/preferences. Any help is appreciated.

That’s awesome!! I wish I could get a cool species like that! Snails are very social creatures and it’s probably lonely. I could be wrong, but pretty sure some of your local land snail species would be fine to mix in with this one and then I’m sure it will be more active
