I am infested with mites! I just noticed today in my soil and not sure how and why. I have springtails, white mites and other sort of mite that I never saw before, looks like a reddish colour. My snails seem to be fine, actively well and eating well too. My monthly tank cleaning is due tomorrow and I will put the soil into the oven to kill all sorts of living mites.
But, just wonder how they got there because my soil is not from outside. Just hope springtails and the other mites I have mentioned will not harm my snails.
