Sometimes I find moldy food and I remove it immediately but I saw a post somewhere about someone’s GAL eating rat poison and apparently it doesn’t affect them at all and they like eating it so I was wondering, is it ok if snails eat moldy food? Obviously I wouldn’t encourage it but I’m wondering for the times it’s left in their food without me noticing if it is really bad for them

I wouldn't compare rat poison and mold. My experience is that snails actually often enjoy foods that are a bit "off", as in rotting, moldy etc. Some of mine eat the mold first and only then rasp the food!
It's not good for humans to have moldy food around, though, and for that reason it needs to be cleaned up now and then.

Many snails have consume mold as a large part of their diet. I wouldn’t worry about it. Just don’t let anything get too far gone or it can rot in their tank an make a mess of things and be unhealthy.
