I took this picture almost a year ago, but I wanted to share this because I don't see pictures of young aspersa that often! (and they're very cute to look at..!)

Yes, I'm certain that these are cornu aspersum. You may need to wait until Xiaodu is a bit older to identify her. It's hard to identify juveniles unless you're really familiar with the species. I can help you in a few months' time! If she is an aspersum, she'll develop stripe markings later on.

I think Xiaodu now is old enough to be identified (I created another thread for Id of all of them, but i'll post pics of her here too as its abt juvenile aspersums) She might not be. Aspersas don't develop spots, I'm pretty sure. Usually they develop stripes or bands across the shell. What country / state are you from?

I believe she is a helix aspersa. I have some helix aspersas and they often develop spot at certain ages in life. Some of the color variants (that are still obviously helix, helix colors can vary) have more spoty coloring on them, others are more stripy. Your little one looks exactly like one of my babies who I know both her parents where helix aspersas.

That's really cool.

My backyard and frontyard are totally full of aspersas, but there are also some pretty different looking ones.. Anyway if she's an uncommon aspersa it would be awesome! I will update with new pics as soon as the shell will develop in new patterns!
