My iredalei are 'mature' Was hard to notice at first because of their white skin. But its definatly bulging. So the bigger of the 2 has now joined the fulica. Quite sad about it, but least they both have company still. Its got to be done, everyone has iredalei so I'd end up over run if I didn't. Nat

Do you want me to sit in the corner and rust, or just fall apart where I'm standing?

Mine (Nancy) stayed little and really shy for ages and then one day decided she was fed up of that and had a growth spurt, now shes growing so fast. Doesn't think much of her room mate Sid tho (no worries, he's a dimidiata not an iredalei).

Sod off Mike, lmao. If it were tigers or something I would. But iredalei aren't a hugely wanted species. I'm not going to risk a whole batch for 1 or 2 babies If I had definate homes, I'd leave them together.

Although i suppose you could breed them once to bring in a new gene line, we've all had ones off Mike but u can't breed them together so if anyone else wanted to breed them they could have one of yours :-)
I dunno!

I want some!! lol. I don't care if they're not wanted Makes me want them even more. If anyone has 2 they don't want.. I'll have them. All I want is 2.. I'm such a pain It's amazing to me how "common" some of these species are on this board. I've only ever seen Fulica in shops and online to start with. Then I saw the Dimidiata on a site and on ebay but that's still all I've seen lol. So all these "common" ones to you are still WOW! to me hahaha. I must not be looking in the right places...

Sian you would have to separate them as Nat has done when they reach maturity as these snails are livebearers!!!! Getting rid of eggs is one thing but getting rid of live tiny baby snails is quite another, I'm sure you will agree.

Oh wow really?!?! So would one be ok on it's own then? 'cause if so then I can deal with just having one lol. I'm so silly I didn't know they were livebears (I'm a bit of an even number freak ) And yes, getting rid of live babies is aaarrrggghhh. I've only had to do it once as I didn't check my Fulicas enough and some hatched. Bad me

Great! Ok I change my plea haha. If anyone has 1 that they don't want (not saying you wouldn't want them in the bad way, you know what I mean right?!), can I have it please? lol. I could put it in with my Fulica too. I'm such a copy cat lmao.

As Val says, they are live bearers, so having 1 batch and hatching what you want isn't an option. I'm sure some will come up some time though. Yes mine are from Mike too, so same blood lines. Nat

I know the petshop would take some but it's when they start breeding faster than the shop can shift them that it becomes a problem, from then on u would have to give them the brick!
