This post is to everyone who got lignus the very first time they were available. If you got them can you let me know how many you received and how many are still living as it seems alot of them have since died?
I received 2 from the original batch and they are doing fine but I wanted to see how everyone else got on with them and see what there survival rate is.
thanks for the info,
Brian

I received 6 from the original batch, they've all since died They were quite active, and were eating cucumber quite well. I'd like to try to keep them again when they next become available.

I got 2, one survived and gave me a batch of 60 eggs. Around 50 hatched and around 40 are still alive after a few weeks and are eating on cucumber, carrot, zuchini, various saldads but NO WAY cuttlefish or calcium (powder for reptiles from different brands - I think my leo´s and anolis have now calciumpowder for their whole live here ) The adult: I keep it in an vivarium of 40x40x60(height) with ventilation up and under the doors. So it is well ventilated. I spray it 2 times a day and don´t heat it. So it is pretty cool in their and the lignus seems to like it, as he is aktiv. The viv is full of plants, different kinds of moss and there is wood in to climb on. He hasn´t accepted the 2 Limi`s as compagnons (he stopped eating and was only hanging on the roof the whole time). I have a light-bulb over the tank to simulate a day-night-circle. I nearly cannot await it, when Apple can do the spring-order and get me some more Lignus for my single one. Another special thing from the babies. They are sleeping during the day, clued on the little tanksides and they are then deep retracted during this. I wondered already if this is kind of surviving method in the dschungle as then no worm, mite or whatever can come in to them. They really are only glued with their shells on the wall. As soon as the light goes off they come out and go for lunch. They are still very tiny, only around 3 or 4mm but growing. Kind regards, Gabi

I got 2 lignus from Fatslug, that I´m keeping for some months and they are doing great, eating loads, of apple, cucumber and maybe (?) pear and lichens... I got some bark with moss and lichens and they simply love it. Yesterday saw one stretching sooo much... Didn´t knew that they could extend some much their bodies. Simply incredible. I hope to have a spring shippment to Italy, Austria and Sweden...
