Very clever! What a terrific idea! I am quite lucky and mine eat on the ground.

When I got mine recently, I tried draping food over, and they did eat some. But now, I've changed it round so that the food is in an identical dish to yours, on the floor. And believe it or not, they come down to feed and they're eating really well at the moment.
It seems they all have massively different tastes, or perhaps they take a long time to get used to the methods in which we feed them. Mine were really shy for the first few weeks but now they are out and about all the time.

My Lignus are very outgoing now. With regards to feeding they will not eat anything on the floor. I usually just position the food in the branches, as long as it's off the ground they eat fine but I think I will "steal" your idea as it makes cleaning far easier.

Brian ;D Not stealing ;D that's why I put the pics on here so that others could do the same if they wanted to. Does make cleaning much easier. ;D
