Since using the liquid calcium, I have even noticed new growth on my Margies, and I had thought that they were fully grown!

Ok the pics didn't work well rofl sorry Brian It's so much easier to see the difference when your looking at them in the flesh. I couldn't get any good ones showing the change in the white on the shell - there is a change though! Despite how bad it looks in the pic But I can give you a good pic of Freddie and Izrinas new growth. (And yes, that really is Freddie out of his shell while I'm still there! ) Tada! Nice little bit of new lol. Freddie hadn't had anything new since I got him, but now he has that after a few weeks of using the calcium in the water... it's normal with Izrina as she's still got growing to do, but she hadn't had any since I got her either. Maybe coincidence but I don't think so lol. And here is little Korben with new growth too

When you say the white on the shell, do you mean scratch mark looking thingies? Worn shell? Boycie and Marlene have those marks, taking photos is hard because they always come out looking like they've been through an angle grinder or something *lol* Marlene on the left - and that's after a spray of water (tried oil too but ut didn't work)... But there has been some improvement, but I put it down to being on capillary. The most impressive results with the pair of them are that their jagged edges of their shells are forming new layers over the top (like tiles), so smoothing out somewhat. On the pic above you can see the new growth covering up Marlene's tatty bits

Yup Lisa that's what I mean. It doesn't really look any better in the pic I posted of my two biggies, but there is improvement. And there's only some on the first whorls of Korbens shell now, the flash doesn't help to show the difference lol Hahaha Brian It took different times to show improvement with mine, some of the bigger ones showed shell improvements before the smaller ones.

I thought I would post an update on this. I have been using liquid calcium for 3 months and the change in my rodatzi's shell is amazing.
the shell has nearly totally healed, is nice and smooth and the edges are no longer brittle.
I had this snail for 8 months and it's shell was terrible even though it ate loads of cuttlefish but 3 months of liquid calcium has done the trick.
Brian.

i really believe liquid calcium saved my fulcia
i wouldn't be without it now
i actually use it in the spray all the time so when i am spraying the substrate & the snails it all gets a share!
can snails overdose on calcium? ( i think i have read a thread somewhere ??)
now i have got tortoises coming ,perhaps daz or somebody coud tell me if liquid calcium might be good for torts??

Providing it is well diluted I don't think it will do them any harm Val
