Hi there, yesterday evening I received the first pictures of Mica's freshly hatched Limax maximus babies. They are absolutely adorable, as I must show you in the attachment. There are two Limax babies: On a bit left of the adult's tail tip and one in the small picture. Of course this picture also had to go to my Limax maximus page! Kind regards Robert Attachments:

That's a great article, Robert. I didn't notice and problems with it.

Hi, thank you very much! You are always so kind to me! I must admit it depends on my daily form... My English can be rather terrible, though never as Prussian as my father's... Speaking of which: I consulted an Austrian Limax specialist and he said Limax pairs (in the sense of mating pairs) will not attack each other, instead are rather affectionate, whereas Limax maximus sometimes does have a tendency towards cannibalism. Now I hope, the old Limax is not going to eat the juveniles in Mica's terrarium. They are really very cute and they have lilac eyes (!!). Any of you got any experience with keeping Limaxes? Kind regards Robert

The only slugs I've kept were the local Lehmannia valentiana, three-band garden slug. I don't have any at the moment, though.

Hi there, speaking of Lehmannia slugs, I once encountered a tree slug, Lehmannia marginata, on an excursion on Vogelsberg mountain in Germany. Here is a picture. Of course you can also find it in my gallery, but as I am not good enough even to update it, let alone to program it in English, that will be of little use. Cheers Robert Attachments:
