Well, I moved my Dimidiata into a much larger tank on Monday, and they are obviously enjoying the extra space to slime around. I also moved my 3 Tigers & Iredalei into a much larger tank on Monday, exactly the same set up i.e. capillary matting & sphagnum moss but.............the Tigers & Iredalei have stopped eating!!! They have not eaten anything since I moved them. I think this shows once again how sensitive to change the Tiger snails can be. I think it could be because their familiar slime trails have gone, anyone have any other ideas??

Only since Monday of this week, I wonder why the Tigers hate change so much, the Dimi's are fine!!!

dunno, i suppose they are like fish, don't take well to change unless it's absoloubtly perfect.

It's like everything, some things do take well to change and some don't. A lot of fish can put it with a hell of a lot and be fine, like some snails can (My fulica don't care about anything at all really lol). Then of course some of us deal with changes better than others. It's just another life mystery made to annoy us Val The slime trail theory is a very smart one though! Which of course fits in with the theory of Sarahs because the tank was missing what they knew so wasn't perfect lol I'm sure they'll get used to the new tank soon. You said it's the same set up, did that mean it's the same moss and matting as the old tank? Or did you put new stuff in? Hmmm.. all philosophical

Yes, I put new in, with hindsight I should have used the old moss, but I threw it away and gave them new. We certainly are learning all the time about these little creatures.

There's another reason then. I'm sure they'll be fine. They're probably just being lil kids lol "I don't want this toy I want the old one!! wahhhh" (Cept it's a tank of course LOL) But yes we do learn more all the time. It's things like this that made me buy a tank for my tigers that should be big enough for life. I've seen so many people say they're sensitive so I wanted to be prepared lol
