Hiya, Last year I saw one of Bill Odie's many nature programmes, something about nature in London (on local telly) and saw a German Hairy Snail. I tried to find out more information (if nothing else to prove to my mates that i wasn't going mental and that they do exist) but this was the best i could get: news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/london/3609189.stmaren't they cute? e Renamed - CroSSLeSS

Hi there, another reply to a very old posting. There is a whole family with many hairy snails, it is called Hygromiidae or leaf snails and also some Helicodontidae or cheese snails have hairs when they are young (as do some humans... ;D)... Regards Robert
