Ive recently got some juvenile dimidiata they are about 3-3.5 cms now and i want to know when they will start to develop adult colouring? I would quite like to breed them eventually, how popular are they? will i be able to find homes for the babies? I also need to check if they are ok living with fulica, they are in with a couple of mine which are about the same size at the moment. I dont like keeping different species together but hopefully its only temporary. ian

They start to develop adult colouration at about 4 cm. Well, by that I mean you can begin to see the older whorls getting darker to produce the two-tone colour. They are fine living with fulica, but be careful of crossbreeding. They seemed to be quite rare but then a few of us got them on ebay, had babies and now I've heard people mentioning them as very common, so perhaps they are now. I still think there is some demand for them, but by the time your babies breed they'll probably be very common.
...on here that is, people still manage to sell fulica on ebay so.....

Do you want me to sit in the corner and rust, or just fall apart where I'm standing?

Mine looks like that but only in a certain light, most of the time I can't notice it.
