On october 22 I found over 90 snail eggs. I have a friend who intended on adopting 4 of them so I kept 5 (just in case). I dug all of them on on the 23rd and put the 5 back in. Now I am starting to notice the little eggs start to look like little snails!! They're still buried, though. Pressed against the wall and just kind of...sitting there. My question is, now what? Do they know how to get out? Do I have to dig them out? How will they find food? Will the parent snail go back for them? What happens now? Renamed - CroSSLeSS

Nice to hear they all hatched, Just leave them they will make there own way out! DO NOT TOUCH THEM! as they are very delicate they won't eat for the first 3/4 days but will nibble on cuttlefish. I hope this helps

OH I am so excited for you! I have no snails I am willing to keep eggs for yet (all too related and all normals) so I am double excited for you But as LaruenceJordan said, just leave 'em be! They are usually pretty darn cool at helping themselves, just keep them moist and at a good temperature Can't wait for baby pictures once they show themselves! <3

So they'll just dig themselves out and find everything themselves? Alright (: How many weeks should I wait to give them to my friend? She's so excited

Yes, they will dig themselves out and find the food in the tank all by themselves. It's been so long since I've hatched any clutches myself, but I would guess that waiting at least a month would be a good idea. The hatchlings' shells are going to be very fragile at first and they need some time to strengthen.
