It is primarily for Giant african land snails, however, we are open to other snails (land or aquatic) and slugs on the group. E. milk snails, bulimulus etc. It's called 'Giant african land snails 🐌🐌' make sure you put the 2 snail emojis at the end www.facebook.com/groups/340320539804/

They remind me of my own doorsnail (Clausilia). Do they stay this 'small'? The adults are 3.6cm

They are amazingly beautiful! <3 Thank you, they are really interesting to see as their bodies are small for the size of their shells x

I am fully aware of the needs of this species having kept them successfully in the past. I already have other 'similar' species such as cyclophorus that I have had for 2 years. I don't trust species trader x That's fare enough. I myself have had poor experience with species trader on a few occasions, so know how taunting it can be deciding if you trust a seller enough to transfer payment. I do however, personally vouch for Reetta; as will most Euro buyers on hear that were active 3-6 years ago. Good look getting ahold of them anyhow. Thanks, I already have a group of 9 but would ideally like a few more x

I am searching once again for pomatias elegans. Preferably within the UK but not fussed if from outside the UK. They will need to be posted to me (will cover costs) please send me a message if you have any Difficult species to get ahold of. Have not personally messaged these guys so would t know if they currently have any in stock but hear; www.speciestrader.com/Pomatias/buy-Pomatias-elegans-for-sale.html2 known sellers on there. Reetta was actually once a very active member of this forum under the name of CrypticDoll. Very reliable seller, and does not try to make a profit on postage. No experience with Jan. Be aware that this species does require more specialised care than; lets say, "GALs, helix and pleurodonte". I am fully aware of the needs of this species having kept them successfully in the past. I already have other 'similar' species such as cyclophorus that I have had for 2 years. I don't trust species trader x

Recently a friend had a snail (achatina reticulata) that died, it's never had good growth despite her other snails growing well. Upon looking inside the snails shell she noticed that the snail had what looked like hard rough deposits inside the shell where the mantle should be. Was wondering if anyone had any information as to what this could be and possible causes.

This is based on what I do for my tiger snails.
I basically have a pair of adults and leave them to breed. I remove eggs I find and incubate seperatly as the adults like to burrow and don't want them disturbing eggs. When the babies hatched I let them grow on a bit (1.5-2cm) by this time I can tell which are the runts and which won't be suitable for breeding/rehoming. These are used as feeder food.
The rest I then grow on to 3cm-5cm before selecting which ones I will be using for future breeding and rehoming the rest. This means that any offspring I sell will be of good quality. I am also looking into purchasing 1 or 2 more adult tigers which aren't related to mine to add new genetics x

I have managed to successfully hatch tiger eggs, and pleurodonte marginella eggs First time breeding both species has resulted in fertile eggs, tigers started hatching yesterday after about 3 weeks of incubation, the marginella took about the same time to hatch. Quite excited to see how these babies grow and thrive x
