I threw it away anyhow just to be on the safe side. No sense taking any risk after all.
I do feed them crushed eggshells prepared pretty much exactly as was mentioned too, though I keep it separate from the food so that they can decide for themselves what they need.

Hi guys, I've been saving eggshells for a while and ended up storing them in a big pan until I had enough for a batch. I'm assuming some of the calcium may have leeched from them into the water, so I'm wondering whether i could reuse the water to spray my snails?
I obviously don't want to cause them any harm but figured someone else may have a better idea. There is also a good chance that some of the eggshells have small bits of egg still. There was recently a baking competition at work so I managed to get around 50 eggshells all at once!
Would appreciate any advice, even if it's just to tell me I'm being stupid!
