I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask, but it seems most logical to me.
I am taking a Writing for Publication class this semester at my college, and one of our assignments is to write a how-to/informational article. I would love to do mine on snail-keeping. This means that I need to obtain permission for an interview from someone who has either worked with snails in a professional setting or owned snails for a very long time. If I decide to write this article, the focus will be on keeping pet snails for children.
Right now, I just need permission for an interview so that I can write my letter of intent. I am not sure whether or not this article will actually be published anywhere or if I will even end up writing it. So by volunteering, you are acknowledging that and agreeing to an interview if one should arise.
I probably should have posted this last week, as I need to have someone lined up by tomorrow. ^^ Any help would be greatly appreciated, and I hope someone is willing to share their wealth of knowledge with me!

I am happy to volunteer, however I noticed that you live in California. I do keep Helix aspersa but most of my snail-keeping experiences are with various species of Giant African Land Snails - Achatina and Archachatina types which are illegal in America, and therefore I don't know how relevant an interview with myself would be. I have an idea - please bare with me..... Wishing you the best of luck - Ness

Since the article would be specifically for a children's magazine, I think that would be perfectly fine. ^^ Could you tell me how long you've been keeping snails, and perhaps provide me with a name? I think an alias would be acceptable, as long as you give a first and last name. Thanks so much!

I've kept aspersas, Otalas and garlic snails for several years, and I'm always happy to talk about about them.

I suppose two sources would be better than just one. ^^ Again, could you estimate how many years and provide me with your name or an alias? Thanks a bunch.

I think Coyote would make the better choice, but am happy to give a second interview if you would like I'm off to bed now but if you would like to PM me some questions I'll answer them tomorrow for you. All the best
