So i know this question gets asked a fair amount but i have two other snails in the same tank so Im worried it could be something in there. My Iredalei died this morning, I saw her on her back yesterday and put her in her own small box with moss, heat, soil and some heat. She had receeded into her shell and kept her eyes in. After a while she took her eyes out a bit and shifted now and again but mostly just stayed where she was. <3 She was quite weak when i got her, she's always had a very thin shell with bad texture. Which looked like calcium deficiency. My other two are getting large and have thick vibrant healthy shells. They mean a LOT to me so i really dont want them becoming il too. Cheers She has bouts of being well and then not moving much. So i was wondering does that sound like intake of chemical or simply a weak snail?

I'm so sorry for your loss. It sounds like she was weak all along. It may have been just general ill health and failure to thrive. There is so much we don't know about snails and why things go wrong with them that it's hard to say after the fact what was going on. It can be heart-wrenching to see this happen in spite of all we do to take good care of them, but many times there is nothing that can be done.
