Which kind of yeast would you be giving them, baker's yeast or brewer's yeast? I don't know if it acts as a growth stimulant or not, but snails apparently love it. I would recommend only a tiny amount, but I have no idea how tiny.

i have dry yeast, mostly used for baking i think. but with yeast being a bacterial culture im concerned incase i give them too much and it causes a yeast infection. im trying to figure out how to make a nutritional growth recipe using yeast, calcium and a small amount of protein. if anyone has any ideas, id love to hear them x

Baker's yeast is different than brewer's yeast, and it's the brewer's yeast in beer that snails and slugs seem to love so much. I don't know if any harm would be caused by using the different kind of yeast.

Yeast creates air in ideal conditions when it's doing it's job and snails stomach can't really expand so I don't know is it wise to give it to snails..

interesting point crossless...iv never seen a flatulent snail lol. iv heard snails like brown bread due to yeast content as well as beer. though perhaps the yeast has to be killed off first through the cooking process. i could perhaps try to cook them specialized snail bread with added calcium and seeds for protein. il let yous know how i get on...we could maybe start a snail cookbook (not the escargo cookbook tho) lol
