Hello! I've just read that it is common with "shell problems and deformaties" in Achatina iredalei. Is that true?Does those problems appear in any certain age or size? I didn't know of that problem until now. My four A. iredalei have almost perfect shells, smooth and beautiful, but they aren't fully grown yet. The picture was taken February 2 this year, but they almost look the same now, only bigger. Is there any risk that their shells gets bad (and ugly)? Thank you for your time. /Moa Attachments:

I am thinking about getting A. Iredalei, but there is something I am wondering about. If you have A. Iredalei, then surely, because they do not have eggs - you must keep all the babies? I could NEVER destroy the newborn babies, so would I have hundreds of, sadly, badly cared for snails if I got about four?

They only have a dozen or so babies at a time, but after several lots these would soon amount to a very large number assuming most survived. I think you would have to consider selling them , but be prepared to keep them if the demand for them is slow.
