i found these 2 lovely snails while walking next to some marsh land. their shell markings are beautiful but i have no idea what they are. sort of looks similar to a strawberry snail or brown lipped snail (different colouring though) can anyone clarify? Attachments:

It's hard for me to say based on that pic. Is it possible to get a pic of the other side of the shell, showing aperture, umbilicus area, etc.?

Thanks for those other pics. I'm moving this thread to Identification so it can get some other replies (I still don't recognize the species).

think i may have discovered the species of this snail...Monacha cantiana aka-the kentish snail. im thinking of maybe keeping a breeding pair as they have beautiful marbled markings on their shell and some of them have very white flesh. im actually quite surprised i never came across them when i was younger

I do not think this is a brown-lipped snail, the shell looks too flat. I'd rather estimate this might be some kind of hygromiid "leaf snail". Only there are very many of those, I am not rightly certain... You might have a look on this page: Leaf snails ( Hygromiidae). I was thinking, it might be a Kentish snail (Monacha cantiana). Kind regards Robert OK: First read, then write, you found out already...
