Hi there,
I just wanted to announce that, as I am quite fed up with writing postings which no-one answers, I am beginning to delete posts obviously nobody is interested in.
There is already the discussion that many posts simply are not answered and I think it rather disagreable that somebody puts the effort in it to write something sensible and obviously nobody seems to care.
Regards Robert

Robert, I hope you haven't already deleted anything, because the posts are searchable for someone looking for exactly that kind of information. Many people look at your site but they don't always comment in the forum here. Some people are only doing research and don't wish to participate in a community of snail enthusiasts, but they do appreciate access to the information.
I know how disheartening it is to provide information to people and have it appear to be ignored because no one posts any responses. If it's any comfort to you, I have several pages of your web site bookmarked so I can refer to them when I need to. I for one would feel it is a loss to this forum if you were to remove all your unanswered posts, and I hope you will reconsider.

Hi Robert - Im also guilty of reading your posts without reply. I tend to read this sort of information at work on a device which isnt really suited to posting - and I often dont think to come back to reply. Lack of time, and clearly a lack of consideration which I also apologise for. Certainly would be a great shame if you ceased in sharing this information with us, I personally would miss my lunchtime reading.

My thoughts are similar : a lot of people may read your mail, but not so many people feel confident or have input to make a reply. But you can check how many times your mail is read !
I think only administrators should be able to delete mails as and when they see fit.
I would however suggest mails are removed in some sections where : - the accompanying photos are no longer available e.g. THIS IMAGE OR VIDEO HAS BEEN MOVED OR DELETED - PHOTOBUCKET - links to other webpages or images no longer work - e.g. 404 ERROR because it renders what is left of the message useless.

I find your posts very interesting, I don't reply because they seem so clever and I would sound thick compared to you! I have snails as pets but you do a lot of research which I don't but I still read them all, just don't feel I have the knowledge to reply
