Hi Last week noticed we had a second clutch of eggs, the first having been safely disposed of. As we going away I planned on cleaning tank out and again disposing of the eggs. My daughter then excitedly told me we have baby snails. As I hadnt planned on this I have done no tesearch and therefore have no idea what I need to do. Any help would be gratfully received. pip

what type of snails are they? and what you do I suppose is dependent on what you want to do and your views on abortion or murder I suppose. most species of snail will die if frozen however. also, you may instead of disposing them, mention the species and sub species and there may be someone who wants them on the forum, and you could simply ship them to them.
if they are H. Pomatia, I would like them myself.

We need to know what species they are. If they are a species native to your area, you could release them in a suitable place in the wild. If they are a different type, someone would probably be happy to get some if not all of them.

No sorry, they are Achatina fulica. We have cleaned out the spare tank and transferred the babies to there with plenty of cuttlefish. We then cleaned out the parents tank and i have frozen the last of the eggs we found. Is there anything else i need to do? Thanks

The babies can be cared for the same way as the adults (they will eat less, of course, but that will change as they grow). Any you don't want to keep can be offered in the Classified section here. Regular substrate inspections are needed to prevent future unwanted eggs.
