What animals do you own and are owned by? I love animals, they are wonderful - and I don't mean just some animals, I mean that I love and care about ALL species. My boyfriend and I share our home with following pets: 14 species and one subspecies of snails (soon to be more);4 A. achatina 2 A. albopicta 14 A. fulica 2 A. fulica rodatzi + eggs 4 adult A. immaculata + babies 4 adult A. iredalei + babies 5 A. reticulata albino 7 adult L. flammea + babies 6 adult H. pomatia 5 adult H. lucorum + babies 6 adult C. aspersum + babies X S. octona 4 adult P. isabella + babies 5 adult P. rostrata 5 adult R. decollata + babies 5 species of hermit crabs;0.1 Coenobita comressus 1.0 Coenobita clypeatus 2.0.1 Coenobita rugosus 2.0.1 Coenobita brevimanus 0.1.2 Coenobita perlatus Several other different arthropods;0.1 Pandinus imperator - Emperor scorpion 0.0.1 Selenobrachys philippinus - Spider 1.0 Sesarma bidens - "Red claw crabs" 0.x Medauroidea extradentata - Walking sticks x.x.x Zophobas atratus x.x.x Blaptica dubia - Cockroaches Snakes;0.2 Corn snakes - Pantherophis guttatus Various more or less furry animals;2.5 Rattus norvegicus / Pet rats 3.0 Acomys cahirinus / Spiny mice 1.2 Cavia porcellus / Guinea pigs 1.0 Oryctolagus cuniculus / Rabbit 1.0 Mesocricetus auratus / Syrian hamsters 0.3 Octodon degus / Degus 1.0 Canis lupus familiaris / Dog I'm very curious to know what animals you guys have. For those of you that don't know what the different numbers are, I'll explain; ex. 1.2.3 would mean that I have 1 male, 2 females and 3 individuals that aren't sexed yet. Altogether I would have 6 pets of that species (1+2+3=6). Ex. x.x.x means that I have so many that I don't know how many they are.

Let's see, I have 2 H. aspersas, 3 Oxychilus alliarius, one false widow spider (Steatoda grossa) and a one-eyed cat named Won-Ton.
I also regard the various spiders and wasps living in my yard as my animal friends -- not pets, obviously, but creatures I check on every day and keep track of their lives. I was devastated recently when a paper wasp nest on my back fence was destroyed by a raccoon. The nest had grown to about 12 adults and several grubs in various cells, and I was enjoying watching the nest grow bigger each day. And then overnight, without warning, it was gone. I felt like I had lost close friends when that happened.

Ever think about building a langstroth hive and raising some honey bees, coyote? it's a fun hobby and contrary to belief you can do it in populated ares, if it is allowed.

There is a beekeeper who lives about a half mile away, and I see his bees in my yard all the time. I'm allergic to honey, though, so I'll just let the other guy do his thing with his bees and not follow in his footsteps.
I like watching animals do their thing in their natural environments, without human intervention. I find it so soothing and relaxing to observe non-humans (whereas most human interactions leave me utterly stressed out, lol).

heh, I hear that. I was just curious if you did or not. I am the same way honey bees have been hit by chemicals and all sorts of things for the last decade and they just need all the help they can get. the 150-200 lbs of honey/ hive is just a bonus to me. but being allergic to it sorta takes the bonus aspect of it away, I suppose.

We do allot of traveling when im over their and the boarder controll are very easy to bribe from mexico all the way thrugh to brazil, so its never difficult to get ahold of "different" pets from different countries, providing your willing to do the traveling. I mean we have an articulated bus for this, the first half is used like a camper van, while the rear end is used as a garage to haul around our 1990 Land Rover Defender. we have done lots of traveling together and plan to do much more (increasing the pet list on the way) our snails and reptiles are all wild caught by me and the wife, along with the wolves both the Mexican and the Brazilians. the wolves have sad stores behind them though (I wont go into any detail on this page as it may upset some people). dont worry though, we didnt steal them from their parents or anything like that. We just rescued them, the Mexican Gray wolfs as pups, the Brazilian collard wolfs as adults. If you want to know their stores, pm me.

Well I have 20-6 banded cepaea hortensis, 10- 6 banded cepaea nemoralis, an uncountable number of baby cepaeas, just one oxychilus alliarus, and we have one very grumpy cat named Jackson Cat age 17 that adores my cousin(basically he is my cousins whom I share a place with my cousin says the cat is grumpy with me because I apparently try to squeeze him and kiss him to much) and we just lost our sweet Bichon Bobbie Dog on November 17 age 16, he was born with one eye, ended up with diabetes and then a catarac from the diabetes took the sight from his other eye and he went deaf and also ended up with arthritis and had a number of other health problems but was still having a great time right up to the end. And I am hoping to get a baby bunny in a few months. Oh! and a couple of wild mice running around in the kitchen that I refuse to let my cousin trap. Ive managaed to capture a few photos of them recently. So cute.

Well, I have a few animals, although my list isn't nearly as impressive as some of you guys. At the moment, I'm still in high school and living at home, so I can't have too many pets. I have: 3 dogs (more or less family pets, named by my mother I might add) named Hug-a-Bug, Big Whitie, and Wut-Wut 1 Scolopendra subspinipes giant Vietnamese centipede named Osiris 1 Grammastola rosea female Chilean rose tarantula named Ungoliant 1 female Leopard Gecko named Freyja 1 male chinchilla named Sleipnir 7 Blaberus giganteus giant cave roach nymphs, which I'm hoping molt to adulthood soon A colony of Blaptica dubia cockroaches About 20 or so of native snails, which exact species' I don't know A ton of aquatic snails including ramshorns, ponds, and mysteries a betta a pair of Jack Dempsey cichlids 8 guppies One communal bug terrarium with a bunch of native stuff like Narceus americanus millipedes, cave crickets, vejovis carolinianus scorpions, other millipedes, and isopods
