Hi,
I am thinking about keeping and selling any eggs lad in the future by my A. albopicta, but I'm not sure about their breeding.
What conditions do they need to breed?
How old are they usually when they start laying eggs?
How many eggs do they usually lay?
And finally, would people generally be interested in buying them?
Thanks

I would also like to know some more information about what A. albopicta need to breed. It might be the same as for many other species, but some more information would be appreciated.

Mine seem to breed in similar conditions to A fulica. with moderate temperatures (mid 20oC) and humidity (~60%). My 2nd generation have just started hatching, the parents being 18 months old, although I suspect they would have bred earlier but I don't grow mine that fast i.e. only feed every couple of days (too busy with uni at the moment). I have never counted the eggs but raised about 200 in two clutches from my original pair. I have not found the offspring as popular as I thought they would be and I am not sure why, I have sold more than A. fulica but less than A. reticulata., but of course that would vary depending on your country etc.
Hope that is of some help!
