Hi! Sorry for my english, I'm french... I've buy 4 baby Fulica Rodatzi, but they've a "normal" and a rodatzi parent. So 2 baby have become normal (brown/chocolat), one baby become rodatzi and one... I just don't know. Like a rodatzi with caramel stripes. I've never seen this color before. Can you tell me what is this?...

Hi giru, Those sure are beauties In answer to your question, these snails cant realy be given an oficial species name. You cant realy call any of them "full breed Rodatzi" or "full breed common" either. when Rodatzi and Fulica are cross bread, the babies will come out in all sorts of ways from the apearence to full breed comman Fulica and full breed Hamilei Rodatzi Fulica and all the in between. Most likely the reason for this particular Fulica having the "caramel colourd stripe" is simly because the common Fulica gene is more dominant in this snail than in the ones with the apearence of full breed Hamilei Rodatzi. My uncle used to have a full bread Hamilei Rodatzi and a full breed common fulica and his bred to. I took 2 Juveniles from him about 6 monthes ago that seem to have around the same amount of each gene in them. These are breeding now il show you a picture so you can see what im talking about
