I never had a problem learning to read, I could even read text that was upside down from a young age, but spelling? Awful. My spelling has improved but is still not good, and I find that I make plenty of mistakes whilst typing that I don't pick-up when reading my post prior to posting it, but then notice if I have time to re-read it afterwards. My memory is poor, and I muddle things up such as dates, places etc. I also have to read things more than once to get it into my head, and have difficulty with putting things into order. I have spent my life in a state of confusion even though my grades and IQ tests were quite a bit above average, and when I was at school was well aware that there was something not right, and felt as if I was thick because I struggled to grasp things like verbal instructions (where two or more instructions were given in a row). These things are consistant with dyslexia, except for the fact that I never had a problem with learning to read. My youngest is fully dyslexic and his reading is still behind at the age of nearly 13, though he has help. He is in the top groups for science and maths though. In contrast my eldest was an early reader with a reading age well above his years.

Hi ness. I think different people cope with Dyslexia in different ways dont they Theirs so many different severities. I know for a fact that their are plenty of people out their who have Dyslexia so mildly that they never even realise it throughout their entire life.

I really like this idea. I think it could also make it easier for members to pick out good information more quickly.
