Hey everyone, I'm feeling pretty sat at the moment. Living at home is getting really bad, and my wage is far too rubbish to afford my own place. My only other option is to live with my partner, but he still lives at home and I wouldn't be able to take my snails. I feel like I'm trapped between a choice between being depressed and frustrated with my situation for even longer or being depressed and feeling guilty because I've given my little friends away, and to be honest, I don't think I'd be able to do it. I've thought about it a lot, and I just don't feel like I'd be able to go through with it. Sorry for the moan, just feeling... You know.

Sorry to hear about the bad situation. Would it be possible for someone to keep your darlings for you for a few months while you get a place of your own with your boyfriend? I know the UK system should get people affordable houses in situations like these. I've been there myself ten years ago. Moving out really cleared the air with my mother and things eventually smoothed out. I hope it works out for you, too. You should try talking with a social worker about getting you housed so you can get on your own feet. Is there a particular reason why you can't take a few storage boxes along btw? If all else fails the snails should be fine for a few months in less spacious housing. GALS in one and locals in another.

Hey, I was wondering, even if you have a crummy wage, and your partner has a crummy wage, if you combine them maybe you'll have enough to rent a crummy apartment (like I live in, ahem...) and bring your snails with you! That's my thoughts.

Sorry to hear that. I dont know what part of the UK your in but I'm in the Northwest ( Lancashire) I went away for a week and I put my Gals in a reptile shop and it cost £20 a week to board them there. Personally I think £20 is a bit steep but there we go.some pet shops offer a boarding service or in Oxford there is the snail rescue centre ,maybe they could look after them for you if you offer a donation. Good luck
