These little guys hatched from some eggs that I found under a patio stone in January. The eggs were the size of leopard slugs - Limax maximus. Photo 4 Attachments:

The light ones ones in the first and second pictures are either Arion subfuscus or Arion hortensis. The dark one is definitely A. hortensis. As for the ones in the last pic, I have no idea what they are. They look like some weird mutation of Lehmannia valentiana, but they may very well be Limax maximus. I've never seen an L. maximus as a baby.

Hi malacophile , Thank You for your help. Here are some of my leopard slug babies to show you what they look like. The picture of the babies on the bark on this thread, from the eggs I found under the patio stone are about one half the size of my leopard babies maybe just a little smaller. vallery Attachments:

I think that those little hatchlings you found are most likely Lehmannia nyctelia, also called Limax nyctelius, the false tree slug.

Thank You malacophile , I tried searching for images and info on Lehmannia nyctelia also called Limax nyctelius, the false tree slug but had a difficult time. Do you know anything about this species you may be able to share with me? I tried to take a better picture of a single baby I hope it is more visible. vallery Attachments:

I've had about as much luck as you have. There just doesn't seem to be much out there about these guys.

The last slug picture I posted of unidentified slugs, the babies have grow and are showing more marks and they are definitely baby leopards. Its interesting to see the difference in when they were first born and how their markings have changed so much. Also how fast they grow. vallery Attachments:

Yeah, you can definitely see the leopard in them now. Is is just me, or do baby slugs put on bulk as a staggering rate?

I don't know malacophile . Maybe in captivity. Mine seem to be growing at an alarming rate. I am going to wait a while then put them in my larger leopard tank. vallery
