so i found some very very tiny snails. i want to put them into one of my spare tanks i was thinking my 2 gallon since there so small it wont be hard for them to find food and move them to a new tank when the grow bigger. but i have no lid for this tank or any other tank for that matter. i do have some glass i can use to cover the tank but then i have no way of putting air holes in it but im going to fill it will all living plants so them getting enough air is not my concern, my concern is air movement. lack of air movement will cause mold to grow in the tank and make the air stail. does anyone have any ideas on what i should do? Thanks CorvusZombie

Hi corvuszombie , You could try taping a piece of window screen across 1 half of the tank, making sure the screen is over lapped so the tape is on the sides so the snails don't crawl up and munch on the inner side of the tape. Place plastic on the other half and placing a stone on the plastic to keep it held in place. I have this on one of my tanks which has no lid. it works well because you can take off the plastic part easily to work on the tank and give them a mist through the screen or when you have the plastic off. It works great with my tank. vallery
