Thank you muddydragon , I am totally new to keeping aquatic snails. They are pretty fascinating. Goldie seems to be growing at an alarming rate, the other two , frank and snorkel don't seem to have grown at all. I do love the blue color of frank and snorkels bodies as well. vallery

Very pretty snails! I used to have one that looked a lot like Goldie. Good luck in keeping them!

Thanks geckonator , The two brown striped snails Frank and Snorkel are not growing but Goldie has tripled her size. Goldie is growing so fast. Goldie was eating an algae chip the other day and frank slide up to her and it was like she actually bite at him and he took off. I've been trying every vegetable that I have found on line suggested for them but they just won't eat them. vallery

You don't need to worry about the vegetables. There are a lot of snail species that are calles apple snails. In Norway, there is usually just two species offered, and I'm not very good at freshwater species. Have you tried at the apple snail forum ( applesnail.net/ )?

Hi Tsrebel , Thank You so much for the apple snail website http:/www.applesnail.net It is loaded with helpful information. I shows that all three of my snails, Goldie/Snorkel and Frank are truly apple snails: Pomacea diffusa (old name Pomacea bridgesii). I am so happy you informed me of this site. Thank You. I am going back onto the site now to read up. vallery x
