Hello, I recently found 4 tiny mystery snails in the nursery where I work and am not sure how to look after them. I think they might be amber snails though I'm not sure what kind or whether they are introduced or native. There seem to be a lot of succinea species. The note on amber snails on this horribly named document (page 5) www.malsocaus.org/newsletter/ASN131.pdf makes me think they are probably introduced but there are Australian native varieties that I can't seem to find any info or images of. Here are some pictures; imgur.com/a/oIEhYI found them after some rain on some vegetable seedlings. Do they look like amber snails to you? Only the largest is an amber colour but the shell shape looks the same. They also have black tentacles and black speckles on their bodies. Any idea what these guys eat and what conditions they like?

It's hard to see as they are so tiny, but they do look like a Succinea species from the pics. They often live in damp, marshy or boggy areas. There's quite a bit of information on some Succinea species here: molluscs.at/gastropoda/terrestrial.html?/gastropoda/terrestrial/succineidae.html
