My Achatina Iredalai 'Myshell' ( michelle lol ) died last week. Bit gutted about it but all my others from the same tank are thriving so I'm not blaming anything I did. Guess there was just something not right, or she was older than I thought when I got her.
Anyway - just thought I'd mention it and say, I would recommend looking very carefully into it and being sure you are an expert snail keeper before trying Iradalai. She was great but always seemed to need more care, cleaning, tempting out of the shell and coaxing with different foods than any other snail I've kept. The white shell is lovely and all but they get to 5/6 cm at best so they kind of defeat the purpose when it comes to 'Giant' african land snails. Even good ones just aren't that big!
I think she had a good life and she certainly had plenty of company!
RIP Myshell!
