Hey everyone,
I live in BC Canada, close to the border, and thus am able to ship from either Canada or the US. I am willing to ship to Europe and other places.
I will trade for any species I don't currently have, unfortunately I cannot accept either GALS or Helix sp due to my country's regulations.
If you interested in a particular slug or snail from the Pacific Northwest, please ask about it! I can try to locate this species especially for you.
All pictures taken by yours truly, feel free to reuse them in whatever capacity you wish.

Slugs of the Pacific Northwest
Ariolimax columbianus
"pacific banana slug"
size: 100-250mm (second largest terrestrial slug)
*my only albino has mated (Oct 5/2013) and I am now waiting for eggs to appear.
These guys are pretty much the ideal pet gastropod. They are the least shy of any of the species I carry. They sleep in the open, and actively explore anything new that they're place into, which makes them great for handling and photography. They are active during the day and night, and are unfussy eaters with large appetites. In the wild they are typically found alone with other banana slugs in the vicinity, but in captivity they often sleep in groups. With impressive sizes and bright vivid colours, this is one of the most recognizable slugs in the world. They mate readily. They can be a bit clumsy/careless, and because of their size and weight, they can hurt themselves if they fall off of the ceiling of a tall enclosure. For this reason I recommend keeping the enclosure low when possible, as one would with a snail. My banana slug terrarium measures 12" tall, and I wouldn't recommend going much taller.

European Slugs
Limax maximus
"leopard slug"
size: 100-200mm
Leopard slugs are beautiful, large, and sometimes predatory - be careful if you wish to keep them with other gastropods; they may harass smaller species or even kill them. While extremely fast, they are only moderately active, and enjoy burrowing under hidey-holes and rock shelters. They don't seem to mind being handled, being unafraid to explore - they're also not afraid to try a taste of your hand, and will often rasp away persistently. It doesn't hurt, don't worry.
traditional leopard-spots, and a darker coloured morph
This young leopard slug could eventually double in size.

Arion rufus
"chocolate arion"
size: 70-150mm
This is a highly beautiful, varied slug, with so many different colours, and gorgeously defined ridges all along the backside. Bright orange skirts, and those cute black faces make a great contrast on some of the lighter-coloured variations. This is a very shy slug, and they do not appreciate being picked up, poked, or petted ... they will quickly ball up, display their characteristic rocking-back-and-forth motion, and then take minutes, hours, or even days to resume normal activity. However once used to their new surroundings (after a couple weeks of trauma-free life), they will become more and more active, and even venture to sleep in the open, although they will mostly prefer to sleep on the underside of a shelter, or burrowed in deep substrate. Because they are so timid, I would not recommend housing them with an aggressive species. They are non-picky eaters, interested in many vegetables, fruits, dog biscuit, and boiled egg. I have observed them munching on the decayed remains of fallen slugs, but have not witnessed any aggressive behaviour on their part, and thus feel they are opportunistic scavengers only.

Arion fuscus (arion subfuscus)
"dusky arion"
size: 50-70mm
An active species, they don't mind being picked up, and like to explore things at a medium pace. They're friendly with one another and like to sleep in piles, usually burrowed under a shelter.

Deroceras reticulatum
"grey field slug"
size: 40-60mm
A small slug, but nothing to turn your nose up at - these are hands down the fastest species I carry. So if you're into gastropod racing, this is the one to watch for. They secrete a milky substance when harassed. They're moderately active, great burrowers who like to sleep at the bottom of the substrate, and underneath shelters; they'll occasionally sleep in the open too. They like to jam themselves into crevices, and I have found them wedged into the tiniest of cracks and ledges. Because they are so small, they make for great escape artists - if your terrarium is not water tight, it may not hold a field slug; consider installing thin mesh over weak points, and do not underestimate their ability to squeeze through hairline cracks.

Snails of the Pacific Northwest
Monadenia fidelis
"pacific sideband"
size: 22-36mm
Monadenia was added to my terrarium summer 2013. This is the largest native snail in the pacific northwest. Their beautifully textured reddish bodies make for wonderful macro photography. They have proven to be a nice snail to keep. They are not afraid of being handled, and will come out to investigate if moved from elsewhere. They do generally prefer to have a hollow log or other hidey-hole to sleep under. They also hibernate for long periods of time; but when not hibernating, their activity level is medium. Their appetites seem healthy, showing a particular fondness for sweet potato and bell peppers. They are peaceful snails and do not disturb their tankmates.

Haplotrema vancouverense
"robust lancetooth" --- carnivorous
A very low activity snail, these guys eat infrequently, and spend most of their time half-buried beneath the substrate. A nocturnal carnivore, they feed on smaller slugs, snails, snail/slug eggs, and earthworms. They are housed with my adult banana slugs and don't seem to bother them any (being 5x larger and all), but I wouldn't trust them with babies. They frequently sleep with their bodies hanging out of their shell, instead of sealed up like a regular snail - the arrogance of a predator?
